All users will be able to click the files to view, edit or download them, regardless of whether they have a Nextcloud account. Users with an account will have the file automatically shared with them while external guest users will get them shared as a public link.
Before you send the files, this staging area also lets you set options that apply to the upload. When you share
images, they use ``Standard image quality`` by default, which resizes and compresses them to save bandwidth and
storage; switch to ``Original image quality`` if you need to share the full-quality file. GIF, SVG and HEIC images
are always sent in original quality. Depending on your instance, you can also choose ``View-only for others``
(the default) or ``Editable by others`` for the shared files.

Restricting who can start a call (moderator)
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

An administrator can limit who is allowed to start a call server-wide, to one of: everyone, users and moderators,
moderators only, or nobody (calls disabled). An administrator can additionally restrict starting a call to
members of specific groups; when such groups are configured, only their members can start a call, and this also
applies to moderators, while guests and federated users can never be part of a group.

If you are not allowed to start a call, the ``Start call`` button is disabled until somebody else starts the call.
You can then join the call in progress. For conversations hosted on a federated server, the configuration of that
server applies instead. Ask your administrator to check the Talk admin settings if you need to start calls yourself.

Start the call

Click the ``Start call`` button at the bottom of the ``Check devices`` dialog to notify all conversation participants of the call.

Classified conversation
------------------------

A locked-down conversation preset for confidential topics. A classified conversation cannot be made public or open
to other users on the server, so there is no public link and no guest access. Federation, SIP dial-in and dial-out,
invitations by email or phone, call recording, live transcription, bots, bridges, breakout rooms and AI summaries
are disabled. Messages expire after one hour by default.

The conversation is always marked as sensitive: notifications and activities show ``Private conversation`` instead
of its name and do not reveal message content. Message translation and private replies from other conversations are
not available.

After a call ends, the whole conversation is deleted for everyone after a period of inactivity (one hour by default).
A notice in the chat shows when the deletion happens. Moderators can click ``Delete now`` to delete it immediately,
or ``Keep`` to keep the conversation.

Channel
-------

A broadcast conversation preset for a large audience. Only moderators can post messages; everyone else can only
react, unless a moderator grants individual participants more permissions. Calls are disabled for everyone, including
moderators. The conversation is visible to and can be joined by other users on the server. Only moderators can see

Announcement
------------

An announcement preset works like a channel, with the same posting and call restrictions, but the conversation is
not open for other users to join, and participants who are added to it cannot leave. Participants get a notification
for every message by default, and they can change this in the notification settings.
