NeuroMisfoldome Atlas is a versioned evidence-to-action resource for misfolding-relevant proteins across neurodegeneration. It organizes proteins by evidence architecture, comparative state, experimental priority, assay coverage, refined misfolding-feature annotations, and expert-consensus comparison.
The browser is the Level 2 user-facing access layer. The formal downloadable Level 1 Atlas package remains the authoritative citable and reproducible release record.
The browser supports:
- search across all 25 browser-facing fields
- filtering by disease class, Atlas state, recommended action, and cohort status
- protein-level gene cards
- evidence-profile visualization
- accessible data-dictionary definitions
- comparison of two or three proteins
- show-only-differences comparison mode
- shareable protein, comparison, and filtered-view URLs
- filtered, single-protein, and comparison CSV downloads
- direct access to release tables and supporting annotations
The Atlas prioritizes evidence architecture and experimental actionability. It is not a pathogenicity classifier, diagnostic tool, or substitute for clinical variant interpretation.
Links to UniProt, ClinVar, AlphaFold, and PubMed query current external resources. Those resources may contain information updated after the frozen Atlas v1 release.
This is a fully static browser built from HTML, CSS, JavaScript, CSV, and JSON files. It requires no backend database, hosted API, login, or server-side application.
Version-pinned copies of jQuery, DataTables, and Papa Parse are stored
under assets/vendor/.
Formal archived dataset DOI and manuscript citation will be added after archival deposition and publication.

Gene Cards include an independent human neural-expression overlay derived from GTEx v10 regional profiles, donor-balanced Allen Human Whole-Brain cell-class profiles, integrated neural-context specificity, and prespecified disease-relevant neuronal contrasts. Expression variables do not contribute to Atlas state, recommended action, readiness, opportunity, or priority. Disease-specific contrasts are presented as contextual baseline transcript measurements and do not establish pathogenicity, causality, or selective vulnerability.
The scientific Atlas release remains v1.0. The browser interface is v1.1.0, reflecting the addition of independent human neural-expression context without changing Atlas states, recommended actions, priority, readiness or opportunity assignments.
