I got this working between two UNOs just fine and set up a little protocol between the two boards. But I want one side (B in your example code) to be an 8266. I am using the OneWire example from the 8266 serial library. I don't know what the problem is yet, but one thing I noticed is that this library doesn't support various parity, etc arguments.
