Plug-in on Android app

Able to put the python server side on windows side - shall share the simplest method.

However, these two plugins on Android side baffle me -

apply plugin: 'com.android.application'
apply plugin: 'de.undercouch.download'

Can you please explain the necessity?

I'm trying to put the code in a customised app. There are so many errors coming up. Then I have seen this
apply plugin: 'de.undercouch.download'

It would help if you can put some comments on the code. I have downloaded the code as it is and tried to connect to the Python on server with the same network and the API address is matching. Please help
