3. Buspal Application for FRDM MCX Families ⤒

Overview

This software pack provides the buspal application ported to different MCX device families. Buspal is an embedded software tool that is available as a companion to blhost. The tool acts as a bus translator with an established connection with blhost over UART and with the target device over I2C, SPI or CAN, and assists blhost in carrying out commands and responses from the USB target device.

Families: MCX

Toolchains: MCUXpresso IDE

Peripherals: CAN, I2C, SPI, UART

Categories: Tools, Bridge

Application format: Project File (MCUX/MDK/IAR)

Compatible boards:

4. Conversa Voice Calling Software Pack ⤒

Overview

Enables a complete voice call application over USB using NXP’s MCU and Conversa Voice Suite.

Families: LPC, i.MX RT

Toolchains: MCUXpresso IDE

Peripherals: DMA, I2S, USB, SAI

Categories: Voice

Application format: Project File (MCUX/MDK/IAR)

Compatible boards:

5. DVS With Internal PVT Sensor ⤒

Overview

This application showcase the dynamic voltage scaling (DVS) capabilities of i.MX RT500 using the internal PVT sensor.

Families: i.MX RT

Toolchains: MCUXpresso IDE

Peripherals: CLOCKS, I2C, TIMER, UART

Categories: Low Power, Power Conversion

Application format: Project File (MCUX/MDK/IAR)

Compatible boards:

6. FRDM MCXW71 Matter light & switch app Thread end device solution ⤒

Overview

The Matter FRDM-MCXW71 Light Switch Combo example demonstrates a dual-endpoint application. Endpoint 1 represents a Light Device (bulb), while Endpoint 2 functions as a Light Switch device. The light bulb is simulated using the onboard RGB LED, and buttons are used to test turning the local light bulb on/off or controlling bound lights. This example serves as a reference for developing your own Matter-based applications.

This example is built on Matter and the NXP MCXW71 SDK, supporting remote access and control of a light bulb over a low-power, 802.15.4 Thread network

It operates as a Matter accessory , meaning it can be paired with an existing Matter network and controlled through that network.

Families: MCX

Toolchains: GCC

Peripherals: Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 802.15.4

Categories: RTOS, Wireless Connectivity

Application format: CMSIS Pack

Compatible boards:

7. FRDM RW612 Matter light & switch app plus Thread Border Router solution ⤒

Overview

The Matter FRDM-RW612 Light Switch Combo example demonstrates a dual-endpoint application.

This example is built on Matter and the NXP RW612 SDK, supporting remote access and control of a light bulb over Wi-Fi with OpenThread Border Router (OTBR).

It operates as a Matter accessory, meaning it can be paired with an existing Matter network and controlled through that network.

Families: RW

Toolchains: GCC

Peripherals: Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 802.15.4

Categories: RTOS, Wireless Connectivity

Application format: CMSIS Pack

Compatible boards:

8. ML State Monitor ⤒
