Guidance for first timer attendees in Barcelona

During round 5 of the conference meeting, someone asked a very important question about how the organizers will cater to attendees that have no idea how Barcelona works.

This question falls under the categories of transportation, internet, and fun activities which these attendees have no idea of how it works in Barcelona.

I would be happy to help getting some of the required info. I'm thinking on using www.bcneng.org Slack community to ask all of this as they will provide most probably really valuable and up-to-date info, coming directly from people living and traveling daily here in Barcelona.
