Creating this thread to coordinate and expand the discussion about the Climate data collection to the community. Part of the ongoing effort to create a Climate Data collection and the project on heatwaves.

@atsf42 is currently working on a literate review. We are working on https://github.com/datapartnership/docs/issues/303 for the Documentation. Ideas for the data collection:

• Flood hazard maps

  • JBA
  • Geographic coverage and granularity
  • Projects that used this data

• Temperature data

  • Nasa
  • Tomorrow.io

• Satellite imagery

  • Planet

• Air pollution

  • Tomorrow.io

I have quite a bit written about heatwaves already--feel free to check it out @g4brielvs (I think I just sent it to you? It's called "Blog_Intro", although I'm not sure if that's the kind of information that should be in the collection. Once I come around to putting more information about the other maps and datasets, I'll also try doing some reading
