Help with Plotting

Hello, I am new to python and this tool box and I am having some problems plotting. I am currently in chapter 2 of Peter Corke's book and cannot get python to plot the spatial math. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated!

Hi @ConnorN9, thank you for your interest in RTB, and apologies for the very long delay in replying. Various life events got in the way, and since May this year I've been doing a lot of work across RTB, Swift and SpatialGeometry. I hope you got going with the book.

I can't tell what went wrong from the description, but plots not appearing is almost always the Matplotlib backend or how the code is being run:

• Easiest route: install the support package and run the book's code in rvctool, which sets up Matplotlib and imports everything chapter 2 uses. See the "Getting started" section of the RVC3-python README.
• From a script: the window closes when the script ends, so pass block=True, for example T.plot(block=True) or trplot(T, block=True), or call plt.show() at the end.
• In Jupyter or VS Code: the default inline backend can't show interactive 3D plots. Use %matplotlib widget (needs ipympl) or %matplotlib qt.

If it still doesn't work, please post an Issue rather than a discussion thread, with:

1. how you are running it (rvctool, a script, Jupyter, VS Code, Colab),
2. your operating system,
3. the output of rvctool --test,
4. the exact code and any error message.
