PowerChain is committed to providing a welcoming, safe, inclusive, and harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of background, identity, experience, or role in the ecosystem.
Community members are expected to:
- communicate respectfully and constructively;
- assume good intent while remaining accountable for impact;
- give and receive technical feedback professionally;
- protect private, confidential, and security-sensitive information;
- disclose conflicts of interest when reviewing proposals or grants;
- support a sustainable, secure, and open-source ecosystem.
Unacceptable behaviour includes harassment, discrimination, threats, doxxing, sexualized conduct, deliberate intimidation, sustained disruption, impersonation, bad-faith governance manipulation, and publication of private or security-sensitive information without authorization.
This policy applies in repositories, issues, pull requests, documentation, governance discussions, events, chat channels, social platforms operated by the project, and when representing PowerChain publicly.
Report conduct concerns privately to the maintainers or the contact listed in SECURITY.md. Do not use public issue trackers for reports involving personal data, threats, or active security incidents.
Reports should include the relevant context, links or evidence, the date and location of the incident, and any immediate safety concern. Reports will be acknowledged, reviewed impartially, and shared only with people required to handle the matter.
Maintainers may apply a proportionate response, including a private correction, warning, temporary restriction, removal from a space, permanent ban, or escalation to platform operators or authorities where required by law or immediate safety needs.
Retaliation against a reporter or participant in an investigation is prohibited.
A person subject to enforcement may request a review by maintainers who were not directly involved in the original decision. The review outcome is final for project-managed spaces.
This policy is informed by established open-source community standards and adapted for the PowerChain protocol, governance, and security environment.
