Confaero is an enterprise-grade, full-stack conference and event management platform designed to handle complex, multi-stakeholder events ranging from academic conferences to corporate exhibitions. The system orchestrates the entire event lifecycle—from creation and registration to real-time engagement and post-event analytics.

Built with TypeScript, Node.js, Express, and MongoDB, the platform supports 10 distinct user roles, JWT + Firebase Google Sign-In (web & Flutter mobile), real-time WebSocket communication, Stripe payment processing, QR-based check-in, academic poster review workflows, ZegoCloud live streaming, and comprehensive networking features.

  1. Create MongoDB Atlas Cluster:

    • Go to MongoDB Atlas
    • Create a free cluster (M0)
    • Create a database user with read/write permissions
    • Whitelist your IP address (0.0.0.0/0 for development)
    • Get the connection string
  2. Update DB_URL in .env:

5. AWS S3 Setup

  1. Create S3 Bucket:
