SpliceBourse

A marketplace for buying, selling, and leasing submarine cable landing rights and IRU capacity

SpliceBourse is an early-stage concept for a trading exchange targeting the submarine telecommunications cable market — specifically the landing rights and indefeasible right of use (IRU) capacity that currently change hands through bilateral negotiations, PDF contracts, and industry relationships. The intended users are carriers, hyperscalers, and capacity brokers who need a faster, more transparent way to transact across coastal landing stations worldwide.

Features

  • Browse and list landing rights and IRU capacity across submarine cable landing stations
  • Latency-weighted route pricing to surface cost/performance trade-offs across paths
  • Treaty compliance and coastal nation licensing workflow tracking
  • Capacity resale agreement management within a single dashboard
  • Coverage targeting 180+ landing stations across global coastal regions

Integrations

None yet.

Architecture

This is a prototype at the concept and scaffolding stage. The codebase is structured as a single-dashboard web application with UI views for listings, route pricing, and compliance workflows. No production database, licensing API, or third-party carrier data feed is wired up at this point.

Status

🧪 Early prototype / concept. Not production-ready.
