Hi! Here's where you can ask and answers questions about using formr.org.

A great request for help looks like this:

You first

• read through the relevant documentation, which is divided into the docs on the website and our user-editable Wiki
• have searched the old mailing list and this forum for previous questions along the same lines
• if you're having R/OpenCPU trouble, you've tried out the problematic part of your study using the "Test run" button and the magnifying glass button to show debugging messages. Many don't know this, but this button gives you a reproducible snippet of code. So if something causes an error in there, we provide you with a nice little reprex already. Having such a reprex will make it much easier to get help in the R community, for example at [Stackoverflow]
  
  (https://stackoverflow.com/questions/tagged/r). If it's simply an R error message, you can probably get faster help on Stackoverflow (often within minutes) or using ChatGPT. If you ask here, we'll be able to help quicker if you give us this reprex file.

Now, if you've not found help this way, here's how you can make it easier for us to help:

Reduce the problem as much as possible. Often, it's not easy to see the problem in a complex study. If you can isolate the problem in a tiny study, that'll help us pin it down.
Then, clearly explain:

1. what you're trying to do and how, e.g.

I'm trying to make a pause unit that randomly lasts between 5 and 30 minutes.
I attached a minimal JSON run file (get it by clicking the Export briefcase button in the "Edit run" view) based on the study I built which contains only the pause that I'm trying to use.

2. and what happens instead

The pause expires immediately, not after 5-30 minutes. I tried writing xxx instead, but I get an error message

• respond back that this solved your problem (or not)
• if asked, turn your problem into a contribution to our user wiki as a How To or FAQ.
• if you found think in the website docs is misleading now that you know the answer, let us know, so we can improve the docs.
