Keep a broken avatar inside its own ring
Staging surfaced this: two test agents reference avatar files that do not exist, and the browser drew their alt text instead. A 46px badge became a 69px box that spilled 25px over the agent rail beside it. The monogram fallback only covers an empty avatarAsset. When a filename is present but the file is missing there is no way to know at render time, so the badge clips instead. Hit-tested rather than measured, because getBoundingClientRect reports the layout box and overflow clipping is visual: a point 8px outside the badge used to land on the broken image itself, and now lands on the link underneath it.
