Sorry for being inactive. I looked into the problem a bit. We can do something with hashed passwords stored in the extension storage and logic to check if the entered password is true or false. This keeps casuals out and protects a layer of security, but to make it harder, we would have to encrypt the data based on the password. The recovery might be tough if the user forgets the password in the second case. Either way I have ruled out OAuth, as that seems too much of an over kill.

perhaps we don't need to set up strict security measures. I think this feature is more like a masking layer for NSFW content, used to avoid some awkward situations.
