v0.9.2 Whisper Core ML URLs reference missing fp16 files at v0.9.0 #1326
react-native-executorch@0.9.2 selects Core ML model URLs ending in *_coreml_fp16.pte on iOS. Those URLs return HTTP 404 at the hard-coded v0.9.0 Hugging Face revision.
Expected: every built-in Whisper descriptor resolves to an available model file.
Actual: model loading fails with resource-fetch error code 180/status 404 before inference.
A local patch changing those six iOS filenames back to fp32 restored loading. The model then downloaded and reached the ready state on an iOS simulator.
Steps to reproduce
Install react-native-executorch@0.9.2 and initialize its Expo resource fetcher.
On iOS, call useSpeechToText({ model: WHISPER_TINY_EN }).
Allow the model download.
Observe the request to the fp16 URL and the HTTP 404.
Snack or a link to a repository
No minimal public repository. The failure can also be reproduced with an HTTP request against the built-in URL above.

I'll change the model paths on each hugging face repo on tag v0.9 to resolve this one, thanks for reporting :))

@hirvesh Please check if it works for you now, I added f16 variant to CoreML dirs ;)
EDIT: I tested myself and it worked so I'm pretty sure the issue is now resolved.

Works! Thanks! :)
