I'm an English teacher at a public high school in Tekirdağ, Türkiye, a self-taught developer, and a licensed amateur radio operator (TA1JS). I work in PHP/Laravel, JavaScript/TypeScript, React Native/Expo, SwiftUI and Cloudflare Workers.

My main project is amatortelsizcilik.com.tr, Turkey's largest amateur radio repeater database — 500+ active repeaters covering all 81 provinces, with companion iOS, macOS and Android apps. I also build web projects for Amatör Radyocular Derneği (ARC, YM1KTC), including sinav.radio.org.tr.

I ship native apps for the hobby too: APRSSwift is a universal APRS app for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch, and Amatör Telsiz Sınavı helps candidates prepare for Turkey's amateur radio licensing exam — 505 explained questions with FSRS spaced repetition, on the App Store and Google Play.

Most of my recent open-source work is around the Quansheng UV-K5. uv-k5-firmware-ta1js is an APRS-capable firmware for the UV-K5/K6/5R, and the browser tools at uvk5.canata.dev — uv-k5-igate and uv-k5-aprs-beacon — turn the radio into an APRS iGate or a live GPS beacon straight from the browser.

I run a few services for operators: Telsizbot finds nearby repeater information on Telegram, Morse Bot converts Morse code to the Latin alphabet or the reverse, and aprs.im is a live APRS map. awesome-telsiz collects Turkish-language resources for the hobby.

Outside radio I built Kolay Türkçe Sözlük, write at notlar.im, and work with G.O.A.T. #8092, Tekirdağ's first FIRST Robotics Competition team.
