I'm Santiago. I spent sixteen years running a device repair shop in Seville before software took over my life. In April 2026 I published career-ops, an open-source job search agent that runs on your own machine: your API key, your data, your side of the table. I built it for my own job search, then open-sourced it when I no longer needed it. Four months later it has 68,000+ stars, 327 contributors, and a community of 4,600+ people running their careers with AI agents of their own.

career-ops is permanently free and MIT-licensed. That isn't a promise I could break later, it's the design: everything runs locally, so there's nothing to paywall and no server of mine your data ever touches. There will never be a premium tier or "sponsor-only" anything.

What sponsorship actually buys is my time. Maintenance, security, releases, documentation, and keeping the project independent. What it can never buy is influence: all tiers are identical on purpose, no amount of money changes the roadmap, and nobody buys a feature. If that honesty is worth something to you, this is the place to fund it.
