By default Predbat is looking for low rate slots as you identified https://springfall2008.github.io/batpred/car-charging/#predbat-led-charging and with afternoon ready by time, it doesn't find any slots Have you tried setting input_number.predbat_rate_low_threshold (expert mode) to a daytime rate to force predbat to consider charging in the daytime slots? |

Uh oh!

I have predbat running smoothly and reliably scheduling overnight car charges ( car and givEVC not IOG compatible so just on Octopus Go) and preventing the house battery discharging. I occasionally work a week of night shifts, and on these weeks need to charge during the day.
If I change ' car ready by' to a late afternoon slot, predbat does not plan any charge slots ( presumably as all the daytime slots are 'high rate'). As soon as I change the ready time to the next morning predbat will schedule a charge overnight so it's definitely aware the car is plugged in and waiting, but if I then change the end time back to 3pm no afternoon slots are planned.
Currently I have to disable battery export and start the EV charger manually for these daytime charges, but I wonder if I have missed a setting somewhere to allow charging from the high rate slots if needed to reach the planned SOC by the set time if no low rate slots are available in that window?
