Streamloop runs on credits. You spend them only while a stream is live, and they never expire. Buy credits as you go, or choose an optional monthly plan that adds credits every month. Credits belong to your workspace, so everyone in it streams from the same balance.
All charges are metered, so you pay only for what you use:
- Streaming time: the time your loop is on air. This is the main cost.
- Video preparation: a one-time fee of about $0.005 per minute of encoding time to convert each video into a stream-ready format. You're charged only when the conversion succeeds.
- Options you turn on: extra destinations, extra storage and scene rendering. Each is described below.
The rate depends on the resolution and frame rate of the loop. You're billed by the minute while you're live. The figures below are the cost of a stream running nonstop for 30 days:
| Resolution | 24 fps | 25 fps | 30 fps | 60 fps |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 720p | $4.00 | $4.17 | $5.00 | $7.50 |
| 1080p | $8.00 | $8.33 | $10.00 | $15.00 |
| 1440p | $16.00 | $16.67 | $20.00 | $30.00 |
| 4K (2160p) | $24.00 | $25.00 | $30.00 | $45.00 |
A stream you run for a week costs about a quarter of these figures, and one you run for a day about a thirtieth. For example, 1080p at 30fps costs about $0.0139 per hour, so about $0.33 for a day.
**\$1 = 1,000,000 credits.** Each hour live costs the rate below. Monthly figures are 720 hours (30 days).| Resolution | 24 fps | 25 fps | 30 fps | 60 fps |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 720p | 5,556 | 5,792 | 6,944 | 10,417 |
| 1080p | 11,111 | 11,569 | 13,889 | 20,833 |
| 1440p | 22,222 | 23,153 | 27,778 | 41,667 |
| 4K (2160p) | 33,333 | 34,722 | 41,667 | 62,500 |
Video preparation is 5,000 credits ($0.005) per minute of encoding time.
A loop can stream to up to 5 destinations. The first is included. Each extra destination that's turned on adds a flat fee, by resolution:
| Resolution | Per extra destination, per 30 days |
|---|---|
| 720p | $3.50 |
| 1080p | $6.00 |
| 1440p | $8.00 |
| 4K (2160p) | $12.50 |
Like streaming time, it's charged only while the loop is live.
On a YouTube destination you can turn on Backup stream. Streamloop then publishes to YouTube's primary and backup ingest at the same time, at no extra cost.
Standard storage holds playlists up to 15 GiB. A bigger playlist needs extra storage before the loop can start. In the loop's General tab, under Storage, switch on Turn on extra storage for large playlists. The change applies the next time the stream starts.
Extra storage includes the first 30 GiB. Only the part above 30 GiB is charged, at $0.35 per GiB-month, and only while the loop is live. The playlist size is rounded up to a whole GiB. For example, a 40 GiB playlist pays for 10 GiB: $3.50 for 30 days live. A file that appears in the playlist more than once counts once.
Scene loops pay the normal streaming rate plus a scene rendering charge. A 1080p 30fps scene loop costs $20 for 30 days: $10 of streaming plus $10 of scene rendering.
| Scene rendering, per 30 days | 24 fps | 30 fps | 60 fps |
|---|---|---|---|
| 720p | $3.56 | $4.44 | $8.89 |
| 1080p | $8.00 | $10.00 | $20.00 |
Scenes stream at up to 1080p60. The dashboard shows your exact price when you create a scene loop.
A loop that isn't live costs nothing. Set up as many as you like and pay only while one is streaming. Keeping files in your [library](/library) is free. Uploads that aren't in any playlist are removed after 14 days.A monthly plan adds a fixed amount of credits to your balance every month, at a better rate than topping up. You can pick one during onboarding or from Billing.
- $1 trial: choose the plan's quality, and a $1 card charge saves your card and starts a 7-day trial. You get enough credits to run one stream at that quality for the 7 days. Cancel during the trial and you pay nothing more. Each account can start one trial.
- After the trial, the monthly plan for that quality starts. Your card is charged monthly and the full amount lands in your balance as credits.
- Cancel any time from Billing. Unused credits stay yours.
- Top up from $5 to $1,000 at a time. For more, email contact@streamloop.app.
- Pay by card or with crypto (USDC, ETH, BTC and more).
- Card top-ups add a 5% processing fee, at least $0.50. Checkout shows the total before you pay, and the fee isn't refundable. Crypto has no fee.
- Larger top-ups get bonus credit: +5% from $100, +7.5% from $300, +10% from $500 and +15% at $1,000.
- Crypto top-ups get +1.5% extra, on top of the size bonus. For example, a $500 crypto top-up adds $557.50 of credits.
Auto-refill tops up from your default card whenever your balance falls below an amount you set, so loops never stop mid-stream. It isn't available while a monthly plan is active, because the plan already adds credits every month.
- Starting a stream checks your balance first. If you don't have enough credits for the loop you've set up, it won't start until you top up.
- While you're live, credits drain by the minute. If your balance runs out, your loops stop automatically, so you're never charged beyond what you've bought. Your videos and settings stay put. Top up and start again whenever you like.
- Download each invoice as a PDF from Billing. Add a company name, tax ID and address under billing details, and they appear on your invoices, including past ones.
- You can request a refund on unused credits from a purchase from the matching invoice. A refund is capped at the credits you have left, and it goes back to your original payment method.
