This document is the single source of truth for:
- where configuration files live,
- which parameters are tunable,
- default values (v1),
- and the rationale for each default.
Reproducibility rule: every run must record the exact config snapshot (hash + full content) alongside logs.
Packaged profile files are loaded from omega/config/resources/profiles/*.yml.
Repository-level config/profiles/*.yml mirrors the same public profile surface for development and release validation.

Development and benchmark profiles such as dev, local_dev, pilot, pilot_canonical, autonomy_soft, devops_minimal, and deepset_tune are not the main public production recommendation.

- λ=0.85: keeps memory across steps (distributed attacks) but still forgets over time; roughly half-life in ~4–5 steps.
- Off thresholds:
- τ=0.90: triggers on strong single-step toxicity spikes.
- Θ=0.80 and Σ=0.90: protect against sustained pressure accumulation.
- θ=0.40, N=2: catches two-wall distributed/cocktail attacks early without flagging single-wall benign spikes.
- γ=0.70: usually blocks 1–2 top docs, but can block more if distributed within packet.
Calibration note: these defaults are a starting point; tune using your benchmark/evaluation procedures for the target workload.
Never change defaults without bumping config version and recording the diff.

- Tune π₀ first (reduce false positives on hard negatives).
- Then tune ε (raise ε to reduce noise if needed).
- Then tune λ (trade detection speed vs forgetting).
- Only then tune thresholds (τ, Θ, Σ, θ, N).
- Keep
Sstable until you have clear evidence you need more/less synergy.
Rule: tuning changes must be accompanied by:
- before/after eval report,
- updated config version,
- and recorded diff.

Data-boundary tradeoff (explicit):
hybrid_apisemantic enrichment can send text to an external provider endpoint.- This is a deliberate quality vs boundary tradeoff in cloud semantic mode.
- For sensitive environments that cannot allow external transfer, use local-only projector mode (for example
pi0) and keep fallback policy explicit (rule_onlyorfail_closedby requirement). - Do not treat cloud semantic mode as "data never leaves environment"; that claim is not valid when external providers are enabled.

- Vision-only positive pressure keeps its normal verdict; the mere presence of OCR text does not soften a positive image-semantic hit.
- OCR plus vision agreement can strengthen the final decision, but modality agreement is tracked explicitly in trace rather than double-counted as a generic single-source cap.
Local semantic prerequisites:
- enable local semantic encoder in

Privacy guarantees:
- only anonymous aggregates and structural pattern hashes;
- no raw prompts/documents/tool payloads, keys/tokens/passwords, or host/network identifiers.
The shipped runtime treats TOOLS_DISABLED as an absolute deny state. Read-only
exceptions are not permitted; use TOOLS_ALLOWLIST for explicit, audited exceptions.
The legacy built-in side-effect adapters write_file and network_post are not
part of the executable default registry and must remain enabled: false. Their
argument validators are retained only for compatibility testing and for separately
reviewed external adapters.
The prod API profile requires credentials from environment variables:
