The font UniHieroglyphica contains the full set of Egyptian hieroglyphic signs in Unicode:
- the basic set: 1071 signs introduced in Unicode 5.2 (2009) plus one sign introduced in Unicode 12 (2019),
- the extended set: 3995 signs introduced in Unicode 16 (2024).
The font does not support
- the hieroglyphic control characters, including blanks and atomic destruction signs, introduced in Unicode 12 (2019),
- the rotation of hieroglyphs via variation selectors introduced in Unicode 15 (2022) and expanded in Unicode 16 (2024).
The font was created by Michel Suignard. It is released under the SIL OFL 1.1 license.
