WHY THIS MATTERS: The version stays at v2.1.310, but upstream added real behavior to the docs for it. Code Review can now pull a repo's own SKILL.md into its review instructions, so teams can reuse the guidance they already keep in skills. Mod Image elements now draw inside tmux. The self-hosted runner docs gained a large operations section covering memory and PID limits, idle sessions, and proxies that break SSE. There are also behavior changes worth knowing about: the sandbox now deletes top-level objects/refs folders in some cases, and the fast-mode fixes for gateway users were rewritten. No deletions, and no tombstone, discovery, manifest or CHANGELOG changes.

HIGHLIGHTS:

• Code Review: include a skill file (code-review-customize.md). A root REVIEW.md can include @.claude/skills/<folder>/SKILL.md. It only works when REVIEW.md is read from a protected branch, and the skill file has its own 30,000-byte limit and still counts toward the 8-file / 150KB caps. Links inside skill files don't count toward the 64-link limit. Code Review doesn't run the skill; it only includes the text. A new check-run message reports includes that were skipped (code-review-troubleshooting.md).
• Mod images inside tmux (plugins/mods/gallery.md, terminal-config.md). Needs v2.1.310+, tmux 3.3+, allow-passthrough and focus-events on, and kitty 0.28+, Ghostty, or iTerm2 3.5+ as the outer terminal. Inside tmux, file-path image sources still show the alt text, so mod authors should pass png/rgba bytes.
• Self-hosted runners: operations guide (self-hosted-environments-deploy.md, +173 lines):
  • setting a memory limit for each session
  • leaving room under pids.max and ulimit -u (a table of where each limit is set on Kubernetes, Docker and systemd)
  • releasing idle sessions on a fixed fleet
  • getting github.com repos into Claude Tag channel sessions
  • a runbook for "session picked up but Claude never answers", which is usually a proxy buffering or cutting off SSE, with a table that maps each log line to a fix
• Self-hosted configuration (self-hosted-environments-configuration.md):
  • new CLAUDE_CODE_REMOTE_SLACK_CHANNEL_ID and CLAUDE_RUNNER_REPO_REF variables
  • a fix for Argument list too long at session start
  • a table of how spawn-hook exit codes move a re-opened session from Queued to Failed
• Prometheus alerts changed (self-hosted-environments-reference.md). The sample rules now aggregate by namespace instead of by pod, and the circuit-broken alert only fires while the orchestrator is connected. Anyone who copied the old rules should update them.
• Sandbox deletes HEAD/objects/refs (sandboxing.md). New top-level entries are deleted after a sandboxed command ends. A folder with contents is kept unless a HEAD was present. Before v2.1.307, folders were deleted even when they had contents. This explains a "folder disappeared" surprise.
• Fast mode behind gateways rewritten (fast-mode.md, llm-gateway-connect.md, network-config.md). The page is now organized by the exact /fast message. A gateway-issued ANTHROPIC_API_KEY or CLAUDE_CODE_DISABLE_NONESSENTIAL_TRAFFIC now gives "currently unavailable", which CLAUDE_CODE_SKIP_FAST_MODE_NETWORK_ERRORS=1 fixes. Use CLAUDE_CODE_SKIP_FAST_MODE_ORG_CHECK=1 only for ANTHROPIC_AUTH_TOKEN-only setups or proxies that intercept the check.
• Windows hooks (hooks.md). New "PowerShell started no program" troubleshooting: a command that is only quoted strings is printed instead of run. Fix it with "shell": "powershell" plus &.
• Agent SDK managedSettings (claude-apps-gateway.md). The page now spells out what disableAllHooks: true stops (user, project, local, frontmatter and SDK settings hooks) and what keeps running (SDK callbacks and an admin's managed hooks). hooks passed in managedSettings are ignored.
• New error entries (errors.md): "MCP server is disabled — re-enable it via /mcp", "git is not installed on this Mac", and a waiting banner that flickers behind a gateway.
• Model allowlist (model-config.md). On Google Cloud Agent Platform, the entry must include the @date suffix. Pinned models must match their ANTHROPIC_DEFAULT_*_MODEL value, and [1m] is stripped before matching.
• Sandbox path wildcards (settings-reference.md). A new table shows which globs work in denyRead/allowRead/allowWrite/denyWrite on Linux and WSL2. For example, ./src/* in allowWrite doesn't match what you'd expect.
• Smaller changes:
  • Scheduled tasks/routines (routines.md, web-scheduled-tasks.md, desktop-scheduled-tasks.md) document a new full-page "New routine" form and the Local/Cloud menu.
  • Cloud environment setup scripts run before environment variables are set.
  • ultrareview and Claude Docs wording tweaks.
• Support (36 files): only rotated signed URLs for Intercom images. No content changed.
