Hi YAACC Developer,
First of all, thank you for developing such a great, tracker-free, and lightweight UPnP/DLNA control point. It works flawlessly as a bridge for streaming high-resolution lossless audio (FLAC/DSD) from my local Android UPnP server (UAPP) directly to my renderer (Shanling M8T).
I have a feature request that would greatly improve the daily user experience for those of us managing large local music libraries.
Currently, when browsing through the CONTENT > Folders directory provided by a local UPnP server, the files and folders are strictly sorted alphabetically. When I download new albums or tracks to my device, I have to scroll through the entire alphabetical list to find them.
Would it be possible to implement the following?
A client-side "Sort by Date / Date Modified" toggle or dropdown within the folder view.
Alternatively, a dynamic "Recently Added" filter/shortcut for local media servers that do not natively provide this sorting node.
Having the ability to see newly downloaded files at the top of the list—similar to standard file managers like Google Files—would make YAACC the absolute perfect and most practical cast client out there.
Thank you for your time and for your valuable contribution to the open-source community!
Best regards,
