Languages we are looking for

We are looking for localizers and language reviewers for South African official languages beyond English and Afrikaans:

• isiZulu
• isiXhosa
• Sepedi / Sesotho sa Leboa
• Setswana
• Sesotho
• XiTsonga
• Tshivenda
• Siswati
• isiNdebele

What we need first

The first task is small.

We want to review or translate around 100–300 core UI and research terms, such as:

• source
• archive
• citation
• note
• metadata
• timeline
• actor
• claim
• evidence
• collection
• document
• tag
• search
• export
• import

This is not a request to translate the entire application at once.

Who can help?

You may be a good fit if you are:

• a humanities student or researcher
• an African language student or lecturer
• a translator or language practitioner
• an open-source contributor
• interested in multilingual research tools
