Upgrade the main build from Kotlin `2.4.20` to `2.4.21`, released on `2026-10-08`, to adopt the stable bug-fix release. The shared catalog aligns Kotlin Gradle and Compose compiler plugins, compiler tooling, standard library, and test artifacts. Preserve App Platform APIs, generated DI behavior, platform minimums, and standalone blueprint toolchains. The release fixes Wasm cast failures and generic serialization output, JVM reflection, JavaScript minification and external-class inheritance, Native Linux test-cache failures and SwiftPM logging, and script execution and resource handling. This repository builds Wasm and Native targets and uses reflection in compiler tests. It has no direct `@Serializable`, `KCallable`, SwiftPM, or Kotlin/JS target usage that requires a source migration. The Kotlin Gradle plugin POM has no dependency changes beyond the Kotlin version; existing JDK, Android, iOS, Gradle, Metro, and KSP versions remain unchanged. The version catalog history contains only Kotlin version increases, with no Kotlin rollback. The previous Kotlin `2.4.20` migration required compiler API adaptations; retain the current Metro compatibility implementation and Metro `1.4.5`. No publicly discoverable target-version-specific regression report was found in Kotlin's GitHub issues or Metro's exact-version search as of `2026-10-08`. Confidence is limited because this release was published today. Direct YouTrack and Google Issue Tracker searches were unavailable; indexed exact-version searches found no additional report. Validation: Kotlin compiler and test-framework resolution is exactly
2.4.21. All 164 compiler/code-generator tests, 201 Android host tests, and 198 Desktop tests passed. Both sample and recipe Android apps and iOS simulator frameworks built. The sample Wasm production distribution, root and Gradle-plugin ABI checks, formatting, andgit diff --checkpassed. No ABI baseline or compiler fixture update was required.CI: All 27 applicable checks passed on
d9c7617e00db8d0a65a331f14c05ddcb12951e44; documentation deployment was skipped for the PR. This includes Kotlin2.4.20and2.5.0-Beta1compiler compatibility, iOS simulator tests and Swift app build, Linux and Wasm tests, Android emulator tests, and both blueprint builds against Maven-local publications. Two snapshots at least 20 seconds apart remained green with no reviews, comments, or review threads. No CI fixes or reruns were needed.
