On the standard unit, the power light remains on at the lowest brightness when the unit is off but has power.

Can this be replicated on your implementation, please? That way, we know whether the device is off because it's lost power or just off at the display.

The brightness is a global setting for the whole display including the LEDs. Lowest setting 0 = everything dark which I don't remember is an option on the standard unit. It may be doable to fake the 0-setting by having some brightness and dim all LEDs but the POWER but it would require a decent amount of rewriting the code. Thanks for your request, I'll keep it in mind.

Failing that, can you turn off all the lights and just have one of the text area LEDs on? Like just a dot or something?
