fix(api-opensearch): include extension operators and indexes in the registries - #5980
Conversation
…ion operators in the registries Cognito: the AWS API handler registers CognitoIdpFeature in the root container, and CognitoApiFeature (the <Cognito/> project extension, loaded per request) registered it again. Every request then had two Cognito identity providers. The authenticator picks the first match, so logins worked, but the provider was built twice per request and appeared twice in the provider list. CognitoApiFeature no longer registers it. OpenSearch: the query builder operator registry and the index registry were root singletons, built from the root container's view. Operators or indexes an extension registers (per request) were never included. Both registries are now container scoped, so each request builds them from its own container. The built-in operators stay root singletons. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

A fix left over from the
@webiny/di2.0 migration (#5969, #5970). The Cognito change that was here moved to #5981.OpenSearch registries ignored extension operators and indexes
OpenSearchQueryBuilderOperatorRegistryandOpenSearchIndexRegistrywere root singletons that collect every registeredOpenSearchQueryBuilderOperator/OpenSearchIndex({ multiple: true }). Under@webiny/di2.0, a singleton is built from its registering container's view, so they only ever saw the root's registrations. An operator or index registered by an extension, which happens per request, was silently left out. Both abstractions are public (webiny/api/opensearch).Both registries are now
inContainerScope(), so each request builds them from its own container: the built-in operators from the root plus anything the request registered. The built-in operators hold no state and stay root singletons.Test: the new
api-opensearch/__tests__/registriesPerRequest.test.ts:It fails without the fix.
