docs(code-style): request state is container scoped - #5999
Conversation
New rule: a class holding data for one request, registered in the root container, uses inContainerScope(), never inSingletonScope(). A root singleton is one instance per process, shared by every request and tenant and blind to per-request extension registrations; that is how the CMS DataLoaders served stale entries. The rule also says when a root singleton is right (process-wide caches like the GraphQL schema cache). Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

🚓 Slop Cop ✅ Nothing worth flagging. The diff looks consistent with the PR's stated intent and the code-style rules. This is a small, coherent docs-only PR that adds a new code-style rule and cross-links it from one existing rule, matching its stated intent exactly. Automated, non-blocking heads-up from an LLM. It can be wrong — use your judgment. Regenerates on every push. |

Make the registration instructions consistent.
Line 50 says “never at root,” but these lines allow root registration with inContainerScope(). This also conflicts with ai-context/code-style/request-state-is-container-scoped.md, Lines 14-15, which describes one instance per resolving container. Replace the blanket prohibition with wording that says root registration is safe with inContainerScope() when requests resolve through child containers, but not with a root singleton.
