fix(website-builder): page revision cache, list actions and workflow gating - #6004
Conversation
…gating Ports 6.4.x #5757 (5d13de8), using the 6.5.0 adaptation from #5787 as the base since next shares its layout. - Add the deletePageRevision mutation, backed by the CMS DeleteEntryRevisionUseCase. The admin app already called it, but the API never declared it. - Create, delete, publish and unpublish now update the revisions cache. A RevisionListPresenter over that cache drives both the revisions drawer and the top bar dropdown, and decides per revision which actions to offer. - Delete, publish and unpublish from the drawer ask for confirmation and report the outcome with a toast. - An approved review no longer keeps the editor read-only. The duplicate PageEditorLayout toggle that ignored approval is removed. - useHotkeys no longer leaks a shortcut when a component unmounts while its shortcuts are registered. 🚓 Slop Cop ✅ Nothing worth flagging. The diff looks consistent with the PR's stated intent and the code-style rules. The PR is coherent with its stated intent (porting the 6.4.x page-revision feature to next) and the diff's footprint matches the scope described in the title/description; no unrelated large deletions, no secrets, no debug leftovers, and no unresolved merge markers were found. Automated, non-blocking heads-up from an LLM. It can be wrong — use your judgment. Regenerates on every push. |

Prevent revision deletion from bypassing page deletion rules.
If the target is a page’s only revision, DeleteEntryRevisionUseCase calls DeleteEntryUseCase with {}. DeleteEntryUseCase defaults to permanent deletion. The revision deletion flow does not require the page to be in the trash. An untrashed page can therefore be permanently deleted through sole-revision deletion.
Reject sole-revision deletion unless the page is trashed, or apply the same deleted-page check used by deletePage.

Preserve the deletion error code.
If deletion fails with PageNotFoundError or PageNotAuthorizedError, new Error(result.error.message) discards its code. GraphQL callers then cannot distinguish those failures through the selected error.code field. Throw result.error instead.

Update propsRef only after a render commits. React can discard a render, but this assignment still changes propsRef.current. If a discarded render sets disabled: true and the mounted component then unmounts, cleanup can skip its registered shortcut. Move the ref update into an effect so cleanup does not read props from an uncommitted render. (react.dev)

Move ref writes into an event handler or effect. Render must stay pure because React can replay or discard it. The predictable null-guarded lazy initialization pattern remains supported.

Unregister the shortcut that is actually registered. If a caller reuses its keys object and changes disabled from false to true, the registration effect does not run because it depends only on keys. This cleanup then sees disabled: true and leaves the shortcut registered. A later caller can receive the duplicate-shortcut error. Track the active registration for cleanup, and make registration respond to disabled changes. Add a test that reuses the same keys object across the change. (react.dev)

Synchronize page caches after revision deletion.
If the deleted revision is the latest revision, the API promotes the previous revision. If it is the last revision, the API deletes the entry. This code removes only the revision-cache item. The page list and full-page caches can therefore retain a deleted ID instead of showing the promoted page or removing the entry. Update or invalidate those caches after a successful deletion, using the resulting page state.

A decorator over RevisionListPresenter forces canPublish to false. It is registered only when the advancedPublishingWorkflow feature flag is on, so its presence means workflows are enabled. The use case loads the revision, checkscanDelete, publishespage.revision.beforeDelete/page.revision.afterDeleteand delegates to the CMSDeleteEntryRevisionUseCase. The admin app already called this mutation, but the API never declared it.PageModelProvider, the resolver usesbuilder.addResolver, and the feature is registered inWebsiteBuilderFeature. The new event handler abstractions are not added to thewebinypackage exports, same as on 6.4.x.Admin app

It is registered only when theadvancedPublishingWorkflowfeature flag is on, and publishing stays available from the top bar.Fixes found while testing
Two problems turned up in manual testing. Both are in the app code that came over unchanged from 6.5.0, so 6.5.0 has them too.
RevisionsListnow moves the editor to the newest remaining revision, or back to the pages list when none is left. Deleting any other revision leaves the editor where it is.savedOn, so publishing or editing an older revision moved it above newer ones (for example Add support for table name #2, CreateEntityEndpointclass to automatically handle common CRUD methods for the definedEntity. #1, Exposing query method. #3). It is now ordered by version, newest first. A new presenter test covers this; it fails with the old ordering.Tests
