"""Pass 826: the K-operator's full four-branch gluing.
Pass 809 gave the k-branch gluing method for an integral operator with distinct
integer eigenvalues; its stated target was the K-track's signed-turn operator.
This pass carries it out.
THE OPERATOR. K = R^T (2T - B) R acts on the 240 integral edge chains of W(3,3)
(built here by importing the K-track's own Pass 682 constructor, so the object is
theirs, not a re-derivation). Its minimal polynomial
(K + 6I)(K - 2I)(K - 4I)(K - 10I) = 0
vanishes EXACTLY over Z (checked entrywise here), with eigenspace dimensions
81, 120, 24, 15 summing to 240. The K-track has used its two-branch restrictions:
the cycle lattice gives S = (K+6I)/2 with S(S-4)=0 and gluing (Z/4)^66
(Pass 722), the cut lattice gives S = K-4I with S(S-6)=0 and gluing
(Z/2)^5 (+) (Z/6)^10 (Pass 803). The FULL four-branch gluing of all four
saturated eigenlattices inside Z^240 has not been computed.
THE RESULT. With L_i = ker(K - c_i I) saturated, c = (-6, 2, 4, 10),
Z^240 / (L_{-6} (+) L_2 (+) L_4 (+) L_10)
= (Z/32)^14 (+) (Z/8) (+) (Z/4)^66 (+) (Z/2)^23
(+) (Z/3)^10 (+) (Z/5)^23 .
CROSS-TRACK VALIDATION. Two summands are numbers the K-track computed on
different objects by a different method:
* (Z/4)^66 -- the cycle-lattice gluing of Pass 722, whose off-diagonal block
has Smith type (1^66, 12);
* (Z/3)^10 -- the cut-lattice three-primary rank of Pass 803, which that pass
identified as Phi_4(3) = 3^2 + 1 = 10.
Neither was used as an input here. Their independent reappearance in the
four-branch gluing is evidence that the two-branch restrictions are genuine
sub-objects of one four-branch structure, and cross-validates both tracks.
The remaining exponents track the small eigenspaces: 23 = 24 - 1 (twice, in the
2-part's Z/2 count and the whole 5-part) and 14 = 15 - 1, one less than the
multiplicities of the eigenvalues 4 and 10 whose conductors D_4 = 120 and
D_10 = 768 carry the primes 5 and 3.
METHOD AND ITS VERIFICATION. The gluing is computed by the projector-congruence
route of Pass 809: with N_i = prod_{j!=i}(K - c_j I) and D_i = prod_{j!=i}(c_i-c_j),
a vector lies in the direct sum iff N_i v = 0 (mod D_i) for every i, so for any
common multiple M of the D_i the gluing is the image of
v |-> ((M/D_i) N_i v) in (Z/M)^{4n}, which by the image lemma
(Proposition prop:two-branch) is (+)_j Z/(M/gcd(d_j,M)) for d_j the Smith
invariants of the stacked matrix. Because Pass 676 was wrecked by a faulty
hand-rolled Smith routine, the local (2-adic) Smith used here is FIRST validated
against sympy's smith_normal_form on 60 random matrices, and the whole answer is
recomputed at two different common multiples M = 3840 and M = 7680, which must
and do give the same group.
BOUNDARY. Exact for this operator. The p = 3 and p = 5 parts are read off
ranks mod p, valid because v_3(M) = v_5(M) = 1 at M = 3840; the 2-part uses the
validated local Smith. This pass does not claim a closed form for the exponents
14, 1, 66, 23 in terms of the spectrum -- that is open.
NOTE ON A STALE CROSS-TRACK CHECK. Pass 682's certificate contains the checks
'pass676_q3_cyclotomic_invariants_locked' ([6,6,3,3]) and
'pass676_q_primary_rank4' (rank 4), which hard-code values from Pass 676 that
Pass 808 retracted (the correct flat-block gluing is (Z/2)^{(q-1)^2/2}, i.e.
(Z/2)^2 at q=3, with three-primary rank 0). Those two checks now assert a
withdrawn result; Pass 682's own W(3,3) content is unaffected.
