The same privileges of participation are extended to everyone who participates in good faith and in accordance with this Covenant.
While acknowledging differences in social norms, we all strive to meet our community's expectations for positive behavior. We also understand that our words and actions may be interpreted differently than we intend based on culture, background, or native language.
With these considerations in mind, we agree to behave mindfully toward each other and act in ways that center our shared values, including:
- Respecting the purpose of our community, our activities, and our ways of gathering.
- Engaging kindly and honestly with others.
- Respecting different viewpoints and experiences.
- Taking responsibility for our actions and contributions.
- Gracefully giving and accepting constructive feedback.
- Committing to repairing harm when it occurs.
- Behaving in other ways that promote and sustain the well-being of our community.
We agree to restrict the following behaviors in our community. Instances, threats, and promotion of these behaviors are violations of this Code of Conduct.
- Harassment. Violating explicitly expressed boundaries or engaging in unnecessary personal attention after any clear request to stop.
- Character attacks. Making insulting, demeaning, or pejorative comments directed at a community member or group of people.
- Stereotyping or discrimination. Characterizing anyone's personality or behavior on the basis of immutable identities or traits.
- Sexualization. Behaving in a way that would generally be considered inappropriately intimate in the context or purpose of the community.
- Violating confidentiality. Sharing or acting on someone's personal or private information without their permission.
- Endangerment. Causing, encouraging, or threatening violence or other harm toward any person or group.
- Behaving in other ways that threaten the well-being of our community.
Other restricted behaviors include impersonating another person to mislead or evade enforcement, failing to credit sources, inappropriate commercial promotion, and irresponsibly presenting material that contains or promotes restricted behavior.
Report a possible violation privately to qatoolist+contact@gmail.com. Include the relevant dates, locations, participants, available evidence, witnesses, and any immediate safety concern. Do not investigate publicly or disclose personal information in an issue or Discussion.
The project targets acknowledgement within three business days. Reports are handled on a need-to-know basis and retained only as long as needed for safety, enforcement, legal obligations, and an auditable decision record.
During the single-maintainer stage, @qatoolist is the Community Moderator. A report concerning that moderator may instead be made through GitHub's private Report Abuse or Content process. The first additional eligible maintainer will be designated as alternate moderator; after that designation, a moderator must recuse from any report in which they are the subject, reporter, or a material witness.
The moderator investigates reports fairly and privately, considers context, impact, prior behavior, safety, and the wishes of affected people, and records the reasoning for enforcement. Depending on severity, lower steps may be skipped.
- Warning: a private written warning, clarification of expectations, and appropriate repair such as acknowledgement or apology.
- Temporarily limited activities: a time-limited restriction on specified channels or interactions, with clear conditions for return.
- Temporary suspension: removal from community participation for a defined period, with documented return conditions.
- Permanent ban: removal from community spaces when repeated or severe conduct makes safe participation infeasible.
Retaliation against a reporter, witness, moderator, or affected person is itself a violation. Knowingly false reports may be addressed under the same process; an unsubstantiated good-faith report is not a violation.
This Code applies to WowDev repositories, issues, pull requests, reviews, Discussions, official communications, and events, and when a person represents WowDev through an appointed role, official account, or public activity.
