Anecdotally, some users have noticed that running notebooks consume all the space in their Jupyter data directory (currently set to 1GB). Presumably this is Jupyter's state and it might be quite large when lots of data or complex plots, etc. are being kept around.
We're keeping this issue open to allow users to investigate further and gather evidence.
