Except where otherwise noted, GhostDeck's original visual assets listed above are not covered by the code license. Copyright © 2026 Dawid Wygoda, all rights reserved, except for the permissions granted below.
Third-party trademarks, typefaces and other third-party elements that may appear in screenshots or in rendered artwork remain the property of their respective owners, and nothing here claims otherwise.
- Redistribute them unchanged as part of an unmodified GhostDeck release. Mirroring or packaging an official build does not require asking.
- Keep them in a copy of the source tree, including a fork, for building and reference.
- Use them in articles, reviews, documentation and screenshots about GhostDeck.
- Say that your work is derived from GhostDeck, for example "based on GhostDeck" or "fork of GhostDeck", as a plain statement of fact.
- Use them as the identity of a modified version. If you distribute a modified GhostDeck, remove or replace the icon, the logo and the artwork.
- Present a modified version as official, or name it in a way that suggests it is, such as "GhostDeck Pro" or "GhostDeck Plus".
- Use them as the logo or icon of a different product.
The GPL gives you the right to modify and redistribute the code. It does not give you the right to ship your version wearing this project's face. Those are separate things, and keeping them separate is what lets users tell an official build from someone else's.
The name GhostDeck is covered separately in TRADEMARK.md.
The interface also draws glyphs from Segoe MDL2 Assets and Segoe Fluent Icons, the icon fonts installed with Windows. Those are Microsoft's and are used, not redistributed: no font file ships with GhostDeck.
If you want to do something this file does not clearly allow, open an issue and ask. The intention here is narrow: stop a modified build from impersonating an official one. It is not to make writing about GhostDeck, packaging it, or forking it awkward.
