Align developer and agent guidance with the current repository contracts. Extend AGENTS.md while preserving its privacy/public Git identity rules, add a self-contained CLAUDE.md, and link both from CONTRIBUTING.md.
Changed files: AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, CONTRIBUTING.md. Production code, public READMEs, operational docs, tests, workflows and .gitignore are unchanged; the existing commit identity validator is reused.
Validation: 23 existing CI/identity regression tests; synthetic advanced/merged-base identity checks; Bash/Python syntax; ShellCheck; documentation/pin checks; guidance links and consistency; suite manifest (no orphan tests); git diff/show checks; approved author/committer verified locally and after publication. These paths select FULL validation under the unchanged CI policy; the normal PR workflow supplies the required hosted run.
