The handler accepts portable Nuxt and h3 events, parses request data, and returns JSON responses. Parsing failures return status 400. Missing clients and internal failures return status 500. Tests cover both event types. The public event type is exported, and h3 is marked as an optional peer dependency. |

The workspace catalog updates Nuxt to 4.6.0. The sample updates its CSS path and wraps the adapter handler with defineEventHandler. |

nuxt: ^4.0.0permits Nuxt 4.0–4.5, which do not provide the newnuxt/servertype import. It also excludes Nuxt 5, which this change aims to support. The published declarations can therefore fail to typecheck for existing Nuxt 4 users, while Nuxt 5 users receive a peer conflict. Set a range that starts at 4.6 and includes the supported Nuxt 5 releases. (github.com)🤖 Prompt for AI Agents

The Nuxt adapter now accepts both the portable RequestEvent introduced in Nuxt 4.6 (`nuxt/server`) and the h3 v1 event, and responds with a web Response, so it no longer hard-depends on h3 at runtime. Existing usage keeps working; wrapping with `defineEventHandler` from `nuxt/server` is the forward-compatible path for Nuxt 5 (Nitro v3 / h3 v2). Also bumps the Nuxt catalog to 4.6.0, adds an optional `h3` peer dependency, and fixes the sample's css entry path (NUXT_B5025).
REST relationship deletion sends its members in the DELETE body.

Background
Nuxt 4.6 added a new import,
nuxt/server, for server code (route handlers, middleware). It provides the same kind of helpers ash3(defineEventHandler,getQuery,readBody, ...) but typed against a web-standard event (event.reqis aRequest, plusevent.urlandevent.context) instead of h3's event.Nuxt did this so server code doesn't depend on h3 directly. Nuxt 5 moves to h3 v2 and Nitro v3, and code written against
nuxt/serveris meant to keep working there unchanged.Problem
Our Nuxt adapter (
@zenstackhq/server/nuxt) importeddefineEventHandler, getQuery, readBodyetc. fromh3and was typed againstH3Event. It still works on Nuxt 4.6, but it is tied to h3 v1 and will break on Nuxt 5.What this PR changes
createEventHandlernow accepts either event shape: the portable event fromnuxt/server, or the h3 v1 event as before. It returns a web-standardResponse, so it no longer needs h3 helpers to respond.req,url,context.params).h3is only loaded lazily when it receives an h3 v1 event.DELETErequest bodies are now read too.RestApiHandlerneeds them for relationship deletion, and the old adapter skipped them.defineEventHandlerfromnuxt/server:h3is added as an optional peer dependency, and the Nuxt version in the workspace catalog is bumped to 4.6.0.cssentry is now~/assets/css/main.css, because Nuxt 4.6 resolvescssentries as module ids (NUXT_B5025).Compatibility
This is not a breaking change. Existing code (
export default createEventHandler(...)) keeps working on Nuxt 4.x through the h3 path, and thenuxtpeer range is unchanged.getClient's event type is nowRequestEvent | H3Event, and callbacks typed against only one of them still compile. On Nuxt 4.0 to 4.5 the
RequestEventtype fromnuxt/serverdoesn't exist, so it resolves toany(hidden by the defaultskipLibCheck). Why the user has to wrap the handler
Nuxt only swaps in its real
nuxt/serverruntime for code it bundles, which means the user's route file. The adapter lives innode_modulesand isn't bundled, so its ownnuxt/serverimports would resolve to a placeholder and receive the raw h3 event. My first attempt did this and every request failed withInvalid URL. Reading the standardreq/url/context.paramsfields, and letting the route file do the wrapping, avoids the problem.Follow-ups
Removing the h3 path later and the
nuxt/servertype on older Nuxt versions are tracked in #2883.Testing
packages/server/test/adapter/nuxt.test.tscovers both event shapes, includingDELETEwith and without a body.pnpm buildandpnpm lintpass inpackages/server.
